Champions for Kids Foundation puts out call for vendors

The Champions for Kids Foundation (C4K) is hosting its first ever vendor market. The event is set for April 4 at Thousand Islands Secondary School in Brockville. It runs from 10:00am to 2:00pm and all proceeds go directly to C4K.

President Casey Nelson says C4K is a charitable foundation linked directly with the Upper Canada District School Board (UCDSB). He noted the foundation works directly with students and families to help them through difficult times, in order to meet basic needs. Nelson explained C4K assists with a wide range of things, including sporting activities and eyeglasses.

C4K was established in 2008 and has dispersed close to $1.8 million to families within the UCDSB.

Nelson says spots are still open for vendors looking to participate in the market. People can email [email protected] to register for the event. The goal is to have all the vendors in place by March 5.

Nelson noted the plan is to make the market an annual fundraising event. He explained organizers are hoping for a big turnout at the market to raise some awareness for Champions for Kids.
