The public is invited to learn about human trafficking. The Human Trafficking Coalition of Leeds & Grenville is holding information sessions on February 21. The events are in honour of Human Trafficking Awareness Day in Canada on February 22.

Sessions at the Prescott Public Library and Brockville Public Library run from 11:00am to 1:00pm. Afternoon sessions are being held at the North Grenville Public Library and Rideau Lakes Public Library, from 1:00 to 3:00pm.

Members of the coalition will be on hand to answer questions and pass out information. The coalition is a small group of local professionals who have come together to address the issue of human trafficking in Leeds and Grenville. The Assault, Response & Care Centre, Upper Canada District School Board, Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario, Brockville Police Service, OPP and Victim Services of Leeds & Grenville are all represented in the group.

The primary goal of the coalition is public education and awareness.
