Snowarama to benefit local kids with physical disabilities

Easter Seals Kids will get a boost from Snowarama. The event is set for Sunday at the North Grenville Fire Hall. The fundraising breakfast kicks off at 8:00am, followed by the rally around 10:00am.

Chair Bruce Robinson says the 80 to 100 kilometer rally is weather dependent, but the plan is to traverse the Kemptville-Prescott-Morrisburg triangle before ending up at the Kemptville Snowmobile Klub around 2:30pm.

Registration is now open and snowmobilers are asked to collect pledges in support of Easter Seals. Robinson noted it’s a great cause and all the money benefits local kids with physical disabilities. He explained the funds are used to buy equipment like wheelchairs, braces and ramps.

Robinson says even if you aren’t a snowmobiler, you can still participate by coming out to the breakfast, bidding on a silent auction item or making a pledge to Easter Seals.
