Province announces $267,026 for infrastructure projects in Prescott

Nearly $4 million in funding in coming down the pike for municipalities across Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes. MPP Steve Clark made the announcement today. The dollars are through the Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund (OCIF). 

Clark says he is upholding his commitment to support local municipalities by creating jobs and attracting economic growth. He noted this funding will help ensure municipalities have the resources they need to build and repair roads, bridges, water and wastewater infrastructure.

The dollars will be split as follows: North Grenville ($299,716), Prescott ($267,026), Westport ($50,000), Merrickville-Wolford ($69,742), Augusta ($75,231), Elizabethtown-Kitley ($106,655), Leeds and the Thousand Islands ($152,597), Rideau Lakes ($165,626), Edwardsburgh-Cardinal ($191,485), Gananoque ($371,588), Brockville ($416,268) and United Counties of Leeds and Grenville ($1.6 million). 

The funding is part of Ontario’s approximately $200 million commitment to 424 municipalities, addressing their core infrastructure projects and asset management planning needs in 2020.
