The Prescott Youth Centre (PYC) is permanently closed. The organization, located on Jessup Street, made the announcement on its Facebook page yesterday.
A reduction is funding is the reason for the closure, according to the post. It reads ‘we are so sorry for any inconvenience. We are thankful to the community for their support for the last 29 years. We will miss you all!’
The PYC was established in 1990, according to its website. The non-profit organization provided a place for youth between the ages of eight and 18 to participate in activities, at no cost.
