One person is dead in the shooting in Ottawa and several others are injured.
Ottawa Police has issued a statement saying officers are continuing to investigate the shooting from earlier this morning. Police say several people have been injured with three being transported to hospital with serious injuries and one person has been confirmed deceased.
Police continue to search for the suspect behind the shooting right now. While this is not considered an active shooter situation, the suspect does remain at large and is not in custody, according to police.
The shooting took place around 7:30am and roads are closed on Gilmour near Bank Street in downtown Ottawa.
