Spots still open for free Pathways to Production program in Brockville

If you’re looking to gain skills for production and manufacturing work, there is still space in a free program in Brockville.

The Pathways to Production program is through the Employment and Education Centre. Employment Coach Tara Kelly says the program involves 3 weeks in a group setting where participants will receive certifications and skill development specific to production and manufacturing work. Then a two week paid placement in a local production facility will be completed, followed by one week returning to the group setting to work out any issues that came up during the placement as well as complete first-aid training.

Kelly says all participants who complete the program to the best of their ability will have the opportunity for ongoing, full time employment. Some of the employers that have partnered with the centre include Canarm, Prysmian, Burnbrae Farms, Northern Cables, and Giant Tiger Warehouse and others.

The group starting Monday is already full but there are still many spots available for the February 24th to March 28th group. Participants have to be 18 or older.

Contact Kelly to submit an application at [email protected] or call 613-498-2111 extension 232. The centre is located at 105 Strowger Boulevard.
