The Town of Prescott honoured Prescott resident Laurie Clifford.
Clifford was presented with a certificate of heroism for his act of bravery last year.
Councillor Gauri Shankar says Clifford and his colleague, Craig Sutherland, came across a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 and, without hesitating, helped out and tried to save lives. Clifford and his colleague stayed on scene for eight hours.
Shankar says Clifford and his colleague were recognized by the Ontario Trucking Association and the Truckload Carriers Association named them Highway Angels.
Clifford thanked Prescott for the certificate and says he just hopes if anything ever happened to his friends and family that someone would do the same.
