Adoption campaign aims to find homes for 22 cats, 8 dogs

The Ontario SPCA – Leeds & Grenville Animal Centre launched its iAdopt for the Holidays campaign. The goal is to find homes for the 22 cats and 8 dogs currently available for adoption.  The initiative runs until the end of December.

Manager Marianne Carlyle says people can take an online survey to find an animal that’s right for them. She noted the Meet Your Match program looks at the personalities of animals and potential adopters.

Last year, over 3,600 animals across Canada were adopted during the iAdopt for the Holidays campaign.

Carlyle explained it’s a great time of the year to bond with an animal.

All cats and dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped and have up-to-date vaccinations. The animals have also been treated for fleas, ticks and worms. The adoption fee is $175 for cats and $450 for dogs.
