Local high school begins collection for Spirit of Giving campaign this week

South Grenville District High School is getting into the giving spirit this week.

The annual Spirit of Giving campaign looks to bring in non-perishable food items, new toys and money to give to families during the holiday season. The school partners with the Kinsmen Club of Prescott and the Town to put this on.

Teacher Jackie Henry says they are also collecting toiletries and cash donations can be made preferably to the Kinsmen or the school.

Tomorrow students are collecting in Prescott on Churchill Road East, Kingston Crescent and Boundary Street. On Monday they will be collecting in Prescott south of the train tracks and West of Edward Street. On Wednesday they will be collecting south of the tracks again but East of Edward Street.
