The Town of Prescott experienced a power outage this morning.
Rideau St. Lawrence Distribution’s Chief Financial Officer Peter Soules says their crew was doing some scheduled maintenance work at one of their substations when something blew while they were working and they had to replace something. He says it was simply a piece of equipment that failed while they were trying to work with it.
The power outage impacted Prescott and area. The power outage in Prescott lasted less than an hour.
