Free therapeutic riding for special needs children in Leeds Grenville

Thanks to new funding from the Healthy Kids Community Challenge Leeds Grenville, a local therapeutic riding stable is inviting kids to “Step Into a Stable Environment.” Paul Bastien of Victory Time Farm in North Grenville says horseback riding has been proven effective in reaching children with learning disabilities, emotional issues and other special needs, like autism.

Victoria Fuller Bastien says research shows horseback riding can help to reduce stress levels.

The free therapeutic riding program runs from April to June, for special needs children in Leeds Grenville up to 12 years old. Find out more at a special launch event next Wednesday, March 30th from 7:30pm at the Urbandale Arts Centre in Kemptville.
