The Brockville Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying two women who are suspected of using counterfeit money.
The two ladies entered multiple stores (Booster Juice, Freshii, Pizza Hut, Subway, KFC) on March 8th, between 7pm-8pm. They would purchase an item with a low value and pay with a counterfeit $50 USD bill and receive Canadian money for change.
So far, ten counterfeit bills have been recovered by police and Constable Jordan Latham says “the bills themselves feel and look pretty real but once you look closely you can notice some defects”.
