Calendars featuring local firefighters, cats now available

The resPAWnders calendars are hot off the presses. All proceeds will go to the Spencerville TNR Stray Cats Project. The calendars feature members of the North Dundas Fire Department and Edwardsburgh/Cardinal Fire Department, along with cats from the rescue. Photographer Wendy James volunteered her time to do the shoot.

Valerie Andruszkiewicz, who spearheaded the initiative, says people can pick up a copy at local businesses, including Olde Magick, Totally K9 and Bridgeview Restaurant. The calendars are being sold for $10 each. The calendars are being sold for $10 each.

People can also reach out to Andruszkiewicz directly for a copy. She can be reached by emailing [email protected].

She noted the goal is to raise $10,000. Andruszkiewicz says the rescue just took in a colony of cats in very poor health, which will cost thousands for vetting.

She explained it was a community project and took many people to pull off. Andruszkiewicz says she is grateful for all the support to date.
