Online auction supporting local rescue

You still have a couple days to bid on items in an online auction to support the Spencerville TNR Stray Cats Project.

The auction includes donated jewelry and art. Organizer Colleen Morris-Wilson says there are 108 items up for grabs with 34 art pieces and 74 jewelry pieces.

“There’s lots of vintage jewelry. There are some great vintage earrings, some of them going back to the early 1900’s. I’ve got some men’s jewelry, just all kinds of things.”

All money raised from the online auction will be going to the rescue except for postage costs to mail the items. Morris-Wilson says for any one person who spends $300 she will deliver it free within 75 kilometres.

Morris-Wilson says she wanted to raise money because she liked the concept of rescuing the cats, neutering them and re-homing them. She added if this is successful they would like to do another one next year.

The auction is live until Friday night at nine. Morris-Wilson says she will always be looking for old jewelry donations.

The auction can be found through the Spencerville TNR Online Auction Page on Facebook here.
