You can soon see the beginning of construction for the new splash pad in Prescott.
The groundbreaking ceremony will be taking place on Friday at 11 in the morning at Centennial Park. CAO/Treasurer Matthew Armstrong says the groundbreaking will take place adjacent to the pool and the contractor, political dignitaries and members of the community will be there.
Armstrong says before winter the concrete pad will be installed, the building will be erected, all of the piping will be put in place and so the only thing that will need to be done in the spring is putting the apparatuses on the pad itself and turning on the water.
The Trillium Grant of $150,000 is being used to purchase the apparatuses.
