You can find out what it’s like inside one of the local food banks this week.
In honour of their 17th anniversary, the South Grenville Food Bank will be holding an open house this Friday and Saturday. Executive Director Bonnie Pidgeon Cougler says they want to thank the community.
“Our donors, our supporters, our volunteers everybody who’s played a large role in making the food bank successful.”
She says it is also Hunger Action Month and so they want people to come down and see what they do with the programs they run and the facility.
The event runs from ten to two both days in Prescott and there will also be refreshments served. The food bank is located at 136 Henry Street West.
