Shed auction brings in $4,350 for Handyman Heroes

An online auction brought in $4,350 to help families in need. The House of Lazarus (HOL) auctioned off two sheds in support of its Handyman Heroes program. The sheds were donated by RONA Kemptville Building Centre and Winchester BMR.

RONA’s playhouse went to Cameron Mitchell, who placed the winning bid of $2,050, while BMR’s utility shed went to Marla McDougall, who bid $2,300.

Handyman Heroes addresses urgent housing and transportation needs for people in the area. The HOL buys the materials and trades people volunteer their time to do the work.

Handyman Heroes completed six projects in its first year and another three projects are underway.
