Ottawa Fury hits the field with local kids

The Ottawa Fury Football Club was in the area last night. The team held a Community Practice at South Gower Park. Kids from the Kemptville District Soccer Club took part in the event.

KDSC Head Coach Alan Archer says it’s an opportunity for young players to be exposed to the only local professional soccer program. He noted it shows the kids there’s a path to follow.

The Fury holds Community Practices throughout the summer in partnership with Giant Tiger. This marks the third consecutive year the team made it out to Kemptville.

Carl Haworth, Ottawa Fury Captain, says the reason the players do this is to see the smiles on kids faces. He noted being out on the field and interacting with them is awesome. Haworth says it’s great for the community, sport and team.

The KDSC players were given free season passes to Ottawa Fury games.
