Local art students will be lending their talents this season to the underwater landscape in the Thousand Islands. At their monthly meeting last week, Save Ontario Shipwrecks announced the underwater sculpture park at Centeen Park in Brockville will be getting six new additions. Students from BCI and TISS will add to the existing eleven sculptures at the east end of the park.
Also in the coming months, SOS Thousand Islands members and local dive charter operators will be placing important mooring buoys on local shipwrecks. The annual mooring of popular dive sites protects the fragile shipwrecks from boat anchors.
