The public is invited to a free Touch-A-Truck event. The Children Services Department of the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville is hosting the event on August 23. It runs from 10:00am to 2:00pm at St. Lawrence College in Brockville. Â
Children will get a chance to touch, climb into and explore a variety of vehicles. Construction trucks, emergency vehicles, a city bus, military vehicles and race cars will be on site. Â
The Brockville Home Hardware Building Centre and The Butcher Shop are doing a barbecue at the event, with all proceeds going to Girls Inc.Â
A low-sensory time is being offered from 1:30 to 2:00pm. There will be no horns, sirens or lights.Â
