“Healthy Kids” projects popping up all over Leeds Grenville this spring

Just over $100,000 has been awarded from the Healthy Kids Community Project Fund to fifteen recipients across Leeds Grenville. In Prescott, Aquatic Adventures offers a new 4 week low or no-cost introductory program for new swimmers. In Cardinal, “Get There and Get Active” provides children with free public skating for one year and six 2 hour bowling sessions (including transportation) at a bowling alley. In Augusta, a Parents and Tots Playgroup will encourage active play in babies and preschoolers in a playgroup setting.

Also, Public library branches throughout Leeds and Grenville will circulate free nature-themed backpacks filled with resources to encourage children and families to get outside and be active in nature.
