You can tour Prescott’s new fire hall this month.
An open house has been set for Sunday, August 25th from noon to three in the afternoon. Fire Chief Barry Moorhouse says the public will get to see the entire building, trucks and equipment. Council and all of the members of the fire department will be there as well, according to Moorhouse.
He says this is a big investment for the Town of Prescott.
“We hope that this project, despite the fact that it’s never cheap to build them, it is a long lasting legacy for this community and a centre point for this community as well.”
Moorhouse says adjusting to the layout has been the big difference after moving into the new building last October as the layout is completely different from the old one.
The fire hall is located at 302 Centre Street.
