24,000 people made it out to Kemptville Live

Kemptville Live Music Festival more than doubled the population of North Grenville over the weekend. Around 24,000 people made it out this year, up from 21,000 in 2018.

Organizer Bob Besharah says it was excellent and he’s already got people wanting to buy tickets for next year.

He noted planning is already underway for Kemptville Live 2020. Besharah says he’s looking at bigger acts.

Performances by George Thorogood & The Destroyers on Saturday night and April Wine on Sunday afternoon attracted the biggest crowds, with around 8,000 people on site both days.

A total of 400 volunteers help make the festival a success annually. Kemptville Live brings approximately $2 million into the local economy, according to organizers.
