Prescott residents charged after traffic stop today

A couple of Prescott residents are now facing charges after a traffic stop.

Grenville County OPP say this morning around midnight, officers located a wanted man during a routine traffic stop on County Road two in Augusta. Police say a search of the vehicle revealed a small quantity of drugs which were cocaine and crystal meth.

The Prescott residents, both 22-years-old, were arrested and charged with possession of a schedule 1 substance. The passenger was the person wanted by Grenville County OPP and also faces a charge of fail to attend court.

Both were released and are scheduled to appear at Brockville court on August 23rd.
