Projectile nearly hits driver in the head on 401

The OPP is looking into an incident of mischief endangering life. Officers responded to a report of damage to a vehicle at Prescott Centre Drive on June 29, around 10:30pm. 

A tractor trailer was parked at the rear of a gas bar when a window was smashed with a projectile, according to police. Shortly after this incident, a camper van was travelling westbound on the 401 approaching the Prescott exit.

The OPP says a second vehicle was struck by a projectile on the driver’s side window, nearly hitting the driver in the head. Police believe the incidents are related.

The OPP identified a vehicle of interest: a newer model white SUV.
