Brockville Braves announce new coach

Randy Jones is the new Head Coach for the Brockville Braves. The announcement was made Friday afternoon, during a press conference held at the Brockville Memorial Centre.

The NHL Alumni was hired on for the 2019-20 season. Former Head Coach Jesse Winchester was picked up by the Ottawa Senators. 

Jones played in 365 games over eight seasons as a defenceman for the Flyers, Kings, Lightning and Jets. He spent three seasons coaching the Midget AAA Saint John Vito’s in New Brunswick after retiring from the NHL in 2014. 

Jones says he is looking forward to using his own experiences to help the organization continue developing players for the NCAA and NHL.

The Braves also announced that Jason Hawkins would take over as Head Coach for the Junior B team.
