Girls Inc. running summer programs locally

Local girls between the ages of six and 13 can enjoy summer programs through Girls Inc.

In Prescott, there will be a “Blast Off with Girls Inc.” program running from August 12th to 16th. Girls Inc. says during this week girls will explore aviation and aerodynamics through hands on learning and experiments.  They’ll also learn about female trailblazers in these fields and be inspired by women’s contributions to these fields. This will be taking place at the Leo Boivin Community Centre.

This program is currently running in Kemptville this week. It will also be happening in Brockville at the First Presbyterian Church from July 15th to the 19th.

Girls Inc. will also be offering a program called “Go Wild with Girls Inc.” where girls can learn about local wildlife and ecosystems. This program will be running at the Lou Jeffries Arena in Gananoque from July 22nd to 26th, in Brockville from July 29th to August second and at the Kemptville Pentecostal Church from August 19th to the 23rd.

The registration fee is $150 per week or $250 for any two weeks. There are full and partial subsidies available. Spaces are limited and people can register by calling 613-345-3295 extension 100 or emailing [email protected].
