Local rescue seeking homes for 100 cats

Spencerville TNR is running a 2 for 1 adoption special. The cats are neutered, dewormed, vaccinated and microchipped. The adoption fee is $200.

Founder Cindy Cere says there are five pairs to choose from, including Pippen and Rosie. She noted Pippen has been at the rescue for several months, after losing half his ear to ear mites and infection.

Spencerville TNR is holding an adoption event at the Kemptville Pet Valu on July 13.  The rescue has 100 cats currently.

Cere says the rescue is very short on kitten food. She noted with 40 kittens to take care of, the rescue is going through several bags per week. Fosters are also needed, according to Cere.

An online auction is coming up this weekend, on the Spencerville TNR Facebook page, to help cover veterinary costs.
