A 39-year-old man from Edwardsburgh/Cardinal is facing impaired charges after driving into the snow bank on the weekend. Around 12:45am on Sunday, police received a report of a possible impaired driver on Shanly road.
The Chevy truck reportedly zig zagged across the road and hit the banks on both sides. Police later caught up with the vehicle on Bridge Street in Cardinal. The driver showed obvious signs of impairment and was taken to the Prescott detachment where he did a breath test.
The man blew more than three times the legal limit of blood alcohol. He will appear in Brockville court at a later date.
