Update: The severe thunderstorm watch has ended.
Environment Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for the area.
It says we could see a severe thunderstorm develop this afternoon or early this evening. Environment Canada says these storms are capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail which can damage property or cause an injury.
