RNJ Youth Services, Brockville Police Service and Stingers have teamed up to offer free summer programming. The new initiative is an extension of the after-school program. Youth in grades 7 to 12 can participate for free. Activities are being held every Tuesday, from 2:30 to 4:30pm, starting July 9. Â
RNJ Executive Director Sue Poldervaart says youth can just show up. She noted they need to bring a waiver signed by either a parent or guardian. Poldervaart says there will be a variety of activities, ranging from art, games, lasertag, basketball and paintball. Â
Adult volunteers are needed to help run the program. Poldervaart says donations and sponsorships for food are also needed. People can contact her directly, by calling 613-342-4238, to help out.Â
