Free summer programming at Stingers

RNJ Youth Services, Brockville Police Service and Stingers have teamed up to offer free summer programming. The new initiative is an extension of the after-school program. Youth in grades 7 to 12 can participate for free. Activities are being held every Tuesday, from 2:30 to 4:30pm, starting July 9.

RNJ Executive Director Sue Poldervaart says youth can just show up. She noted they need to bring a waiver signed by either a parent or guardian. Poldervaart says there will be a variety of activities, ranging from art, games, lasertag, basketball and paintball.

Adult volunteers are needed to help run the program. Poldervaart says donations and sponsorships for food are also needed. People can contact her directly, by calling 613-342-4238, to help out.

Waiver forms are available by clicking here.
