The 10th annual Father’s Day Show & Shine is coming up. The event, hosted by the Hwy 43 Car Club, is set for June 16 at the Kemptville Campus. It runs from 9:00am to 3:00pm.
Admission is free. Non-perishable food items and cash donations will be collected for the Salvation Army Food Bank. Between 500 and 600 vehicles will be on site for people to check out.
Organizer Kelly Searson says there’s going to be a little bit of everything, from custom and classic cars to modern rides. He noted the show includes Truckfest, featuring modified trucks.
The car show attracts over 3,000 visitors annually. Last year’s event brought in 1,200 pounds of food for the Salvation Army.

Searon says the big crowd-pleaser is the burnout contest, happening at 1:00pm sharp. He says drivers have 23 seconds to make as much smoke and noise possible.
The event also includes door prizes, a 50/50 draw, entertainment and refreshments.
The Hwy 43 Car Club is 400 members strong and hosts Cruise Nights every Friday at Food Basics in Kemptville. For more information about the club, click here.
