The Leeds and Grenville Ontario SPCA will be raising money for local animals through a yard sale next weekend.
The yard sale and barbecue will be on Saturday, June eighth. ACA1 Michelle Murphy says they are accepting donations of items for it from June fourth to the seventh. Donations can be dropped off at the centre.
Murphy says all the money raised from their fundraising events stay at the centre. One of the biggest expenses is veterinarian care at the centre, according to Murphy.
“As anyone who’s adopted an animal from us before knows, the animals come spayed or neutered. They’ve received all their vaccines and any other medical treatment they may need. So, that covers everything from de-wormer, flea and tick treatments and they’re also micro-chipped.”
The yard sale will begin at eight that morning.
