The Town of Prescott has a new Chief Administrative Officer. The appointment was made at council earlier this week. Acting CAO Rob Wittkie says the new staff member is familiar with the area.
In addition to serving as CAO for Augusta since 2013, Pierre Mercier has over 25 years experience in municipal planning and economic development.
As well as serving as CAO, Mr. Mercier will be directly responsible for providing planning services and overseeing the economic development department.
Former Prescott CAO Randy Helmer left his post in November to take a new position in British Columbia.
