Kemptville Live tickets 50% sold

The 5th annual Kemptville Live Music Festival could be a sold-out event. The festival, held on the grounds of Kemptville Campus, runs from July 18 to 21 this year. The rockstar-studded lineup includes Steve Earle and The Dukes, George Thorogood & The Destroyers and April Wine.

Camping is sold out, with nearly 1,000 people expected. VIP tickets sold out within a month of going on sale. Weekend and day passes are still available.

Organizer Karen Bedard says the festival is tracking well to sell-out prior to the event. She says when considering capacity, weekend passes and day passes have been factored in, and festival is currently at 50 per cent capacity.

Bedard says organizers are expecting around 25,000 people this year. Just under 21,000 made it out last year.

Bedard says don’t hesitate if you’re thinking at all of attending the festival. She says now is the time to get your tickets.

Kemptville Live is hosting a free event for the community again this year. Brea Lawrenson and Silver Creek will be performing on July 17. Donations will be accepted for the local Salvation Army Food Bank.

Bedard says the festival wouldn’t be possible without community sponsors and the over 300 dedicated volunteers.
