The otters are ready for their close-up. The Thousand Island’s newest tourist attraction opened yesterday with a slow trickle of people. The Aquatarium had what developers are calling a “soft opening” to the public. This allows managers to work out any problems that may arise, now that the doors are open.
The smaller initial crowds on a weekday opening might also make it easier for the otters to adjust to their newfound celebrity.
