You should expect some heavier traffic on County Road Two starting tomorrow.
There are plans to replace a culvert that will cause both 401 westbound lanes at Shanly Road in Cardinal to be closed. The eastbound lanes will not be affected.
United Counties of Leeds and Grenville Manager of Engineering and Operations, Bill Guy, confirms that the plan is to close both lanes at seven tomorrow night, with one lane reopening between nine and 11 on Wednesday morning. There is no time estimate yet when both lanes will be reopened.
Guy adds the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario says that due to the necessity of the repair, the work will be done rain or shine. Traffic will be directed to County Road Two during the closure.
