The Brockville General Hospital (BGH) held its annual long service recognition event. Over 50 staff and physicians celebrated 25 plus years of service, with the collective years of service totalling 1,530 years. The event was held May 2. Â
BGH also recognized 11 nominees for the Workplace Happiness Action Team’s Member of the Year award, which is presented to staff, physicians and volunteers who live the hospital’s values.
Dr. Eileen TenCate and Register Nurse Mary Ann Libby were selected as the 2017/18 Team Members of the Year. An honourable mention went to Angela Norman, Ward Clerk in the Intensive Care Unit. Â
The event was part of a week-long appreciation celebration of the over 850 staff members, 180 doctors and 300 volunteers at BGH.
