It turns out it wasn’t just a great weekend to celebrate the spirit of hockey and meet some of your heroes, as the totals are in and the Brockville Winter Classic Weekend pulled together over $25,000!
Jeff Severson, spokesman for the Young Professionals organization that put together the event, told the Brockville Recorder that he expects the total to come even higher after a final tally of revenue and expenses is concluded.
All of the money raised is going towards building a roof over the artificial ice pad at Rotary Park.
