Big Sky Ranch gets $7,400 donation

Russell Trivia Services donated $7,400 to Big Sky Ranch Animal Sanctuary. The cheque presentation took place yesterday.

The money was raised during a Trivia Night event held on March 23. Russell Trivia Services was founded 15 years ago and has brought in $1.2 million for local charities.

Founder Connie Johnston says she’s proud of what the group has done. She says supporting Big Sky was an easy sell for members.

The local rescue relies entirely on donations to care for unwanted and abused animals. Big Sky currently has 120 animals, ranging from goats to cats.

Founder Andy Parent says the donation is greatly appreciated. He says it will go towards food and catching up on bills.
