The Aquatarium in Brockville is hosting two Community Day events. Admission is free on Friday and Saturday. The Aquatarium has partnered with the Brockville Farmers’ Market and Rideau St. Lawrence Science Fair. People can check out the science fair on the third floor Friday and the market on Saturday.
Manager of Public Relations Sarah Laturnus says working with not-for-profit organizations is something the Aquatarium wants to do to be more involved in the community. She says it’s all part of giving back.
The Aquatarium is open from 9:30am to 5:00pm on Friday and 9:30am to 2:00pm on Saturday.Â
Laturnus says the facility is a 33,000 square feet discovery and interactive learning centre about the Thousand Islands and St. Lawrence River. She says the Aquatarium has live land and aquatic animals, including a family of three river otters. Laturnus says there is also reptiles, amphibians and lots of fish.
