Volunteers are needed for the Brockville Community Clean Up. The event is set for April 27 from 9:00am to 12:00 noon.
The clean up is open for any park or green space in the community.
Committee member Lukas Redmond says a map on the Brockville Community Clean Up website show garbage bins around the area. He says the red garbage bins are places that need the most attention, and those will change throughout the day.
The committee is made up of Brockville Collegiate Institute students.
Danielle Storey, another committee member, says her motivation is the feeling of making the community a better place.
There are already almost 300 people signed up for this years clean up. The committee is also encouraging people to not just clean up on the day of, but to make the effort to be green every day.
