It was a day full of culture yesterday in Kemptville as the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario & the UCDSB hosted a workshop to help welcome refugee children and their families in to the schools & board.
It was hosted & led by Kalpana Makan, a staff member with the ETFO and Superintendent Tim Mills said: “We want to give local educators the tools they need to help children of Syrian refugees and other newcomers make the adjustments needed to succeed in our school”
