Prescott Council Appoints Fraser Laschinger to Prescott Ogdensburg Ferry Working Group

Prescott’s Town Council has appointed former Councillor Fraser Laschinger to the Prescott Ogdensburg Ferry Working Group.

The group also includes Mayor Brett Todd, Councillor Teresa Jansman, former Senator and Ontario cabinet minister Bob Runciman, CAO Matthew Armstrong and Economic Development Officer Dana Valentyne from Prescott. City manager Sarah Purdy and Jim Reagen from New York State Senator Patty Ritchie’s office are also members, from Ogdensburg.

Jansman says Laschinger has been an active attendee at this working group and his experience and knowledge makes him a valuable person at the table.

Todd says Laschinger really adds a citizen component. He adds the group has come a long way now and the consultant has finalized the draft (a version of the final report). They are also working with the customs and border officials on both sides to fine tune a few things now, according to Todd.
