Wondering why the gas prices in Brockville are still so much higher than everywhere else? So is Leeds Grenville MP Gord Brown. Brown sent a letter to the Competition Bureau yesterday, asking for an investigation. He also sent a petition that was signed by over 1,300 residents asking for an inquiry into the price discrepancy at the pumps.
In his letter, Brown notes that gasoline prices in early February were in the high-seventy-cent range in Ottawa, the mid-eighties throughout the United Counties of Leeds-Grenville including along Highway 401, and the mid-nineties in Brockville.
