A special weather statement is in effect for the region.

Environment Canada issued the statement this afternoon saying we could see between 5 and 15 centimeters of snow Friday and Friday night.

Rain is expected to begin tonight mixed with snow by morning. Tomorrow, Environment Canada says we could see some heavy snow.

Some areas will get between 5 and 10 centimeters of snow with regions along the St. Lawrence River seeing as much at 10 to 15 centimeters. Environment Canada says the weather is likely to impact driving conditions.
