Kings Kitchen in Prescott is in need of more volunteers.
Kings Kitchen serves a free community dinner weekly at South Grenville District High School. Chair of Kings Kitchen Carol Casselman says they are short about ten people right now. The volunteers are needed in all areas from serving, kitchen help and dishes. Casselman adds the number of guests is increasing. She says most Wednesdays over 200 people are served.
Casselman says volunteers work as long as they want, between 2:30 and seven on Wednesday evenings. She adds there is no age limit for volunteers and it is an opportunity for high school students to get their volunteer hours.
It is a great way to give back to the community, meet people and it’s a great way to have fun, according to Casselman.
