Big Sky Ranch Animal Sanctuary is getting ready to welcome a new animal. Coast FM’s own Jonny Parks will spend the night in the sanctuary’s barn to raise money and awareness. The Heat the Barn radiothon kicks off at 7:00am tomorrow.
The fundraiser is being run by the radio station, in partnership with Brewed Awakenings in Kemptville. Donations will be accepted at the coffee shop until 7:00pm. Brewed Awakenings is offering any size coffee or tea for $2 tomorrow, with all proceeds going to Heat the Barn.
People can also donate online by clicking here and leaving a message mentioning Heat the Barn.
Sending an e-transfer to [email protected] (code word warmbarn, one word) is another way to donate. Cheques and cash will also be accepted.
Every dollar raised will go towards keeping the barns at Big Sky heated. The sanctuary currently has around 120 animals. For more information about Big Sky, click here.
