Windmill Brewery will be raising money for the Leeds and Grenville OSPCA this weekend.
The brewery will be hosting a cupcake event to bring in donations for the local shelter. Owner Sean Lucey says the event will be on Sunday from 12 to three in the afternoon. Lucey says Newport BBQ and Bakery will be making cupcakes from scratch. People are welcome to drop by, make a donation, and receive a cupcake in return.
This will be the first time Windmill Brewery has done this event. Lucey says he hopes it is very successful and can continue this in further years. He adds the OSPCA, like all other charities, need help from all businesses and they feel they need to help the community in any way they can.
Windmill Brewery is located at five Newport Drive in Johnstown.
